Book #16: Falderal

This book was editioned in January of 2016 in Portland, OR.

Regardless of intention, our best laid plans are still limited, in one way or another, by the environment in which our efforts and ambitions take form.

Left dormant by its inherent preciousness—latent pages, most likely never cut, folded or fully realized—this book relies on its physical inactivity in order to exist as an art object; participating in the ongoing conversation of this project.

Similarly, the crafted “natural” environments developed throughout America sit in a similar state of suspension; however, the conversation is awkward and confounding, failing to contribute to the dialogue of our experience within urban landscapes.

These are images of the finished edition and artist proofs.
